Sebastian Salvaterra
Sebastian Salvaterra was born in Paris in 1990. He started piano at the age of 4. In 2009 he obtained his Piano Diploma with Unanimous Distinction and Gold medal at the Athenaeum “Maria Callas” Conservatory in Athens.

He has taken part in Masterclasses with internationally renowned musicians, such as Mikhail Voskressensky, Nikolai Petrov , Christopher Elton,Hortense Cartier-Bresson, Albert Attenelle, Jerome Rose, Alexander Kobrin,and others. He has also worked with internationally acclaimed artists such as Ivo Pogorelich and Jorge Luis Prats.
He has taken part in International Music Festivals in many countries, and has performed recitals extensively in Europe, appearing several times on the radio and television. He has toured in America, Portugal, Italy, Hungary, Greece, France, Turkey, Russia, Germany, Holland and Israel, performing for piano solo and chamber music. In 2006 in Paris, he won the Grand Prix for solo piano at the International Robert Canetti Music Festival Competition. In 2009, he won the 1st Prize at the Music Competition of the International Music Festival and Summer Music Academy, Mytilini, Greece. In 2010, he won the 3rd prize at the International Alexander Scriabin Piano Competition, in Paris, France. In 2017, he won the 3rd prize at the IKIF International Piano Competition in New York, U.S.A. In 2019, he was awarded the 2nd Prize at the Maschmann Stiftung competition in Vienna, Austria.
He was a recipient of the Vladimir Spivakov International Music Foundation, for which he has performed in numerous renowned concert halls, such as the Concert Hall of the Roerich Museum and Vladimir Spivakov’s “House of Music” Hall. He was also a recipient of the International AHEPA Foundation and the Robert Canetti Music Foundation. He regularly appears with other musicians to perform chamber music recitals with violinists, cellists, singers, and ensembles.
In 2010, he obtained his Bachelor’s Degree In Piano Performance with ‘Summa Cum Laude’ from the University of Indianapolis and was selected as Class Valedictorian. In 2013, he entered the Berlin University of The Arts in the class of Jacques Rouvier. He is currently continuing his postgraduate studies with Jacques Rouvier at the Mozarteum University Salzburg. He also Studies at the Ivan Galamian Academy with the pianist and professor Misha Dacic .
In 2020, he was accepted at the Philippe Jaroussky Academy in Paris, where he studies under the guidance of David Kadouch .
He also receives mentoring and musical counsel from the acclaimed French-Canadian pianist Alain-Lefèvre.
