Two-Day Piano Festival “Piano at Aloni” with internationally awarded young soloists August 8 & 9 | 21:00

As every year, Aloni Theater presents its two-day piano festival “Piano at Aloni”, in collaboration with internationally renowned pianist and pedagogue Agathi Leimoni, whose dual career as a soloist and educator has taken her and her students across borders, offering them unique musical opportunities and international exposure.

In 2015, as part of its educational initiatives, Aloni Theater launched the piano festival “Piano at Aloni”, aiming to give a stage to exceptional young pianists who have already earned national and international distinctions. The festival was created to offer these rising talents the chance to share their artistry with a broader audience, to perform in the theater’s outstanding acoustics, and to experience — together with the audience — the breathtaking panoramic view over the night-lit Pagasitic Gulf.

At the same time, the festival revives the region’s rich musical heritage: for centuries, the residents of this area were deeply familiar with European classical music, with almost every manor house once home to its own piano.

This year, the audience will enjoy another inspiring piano recital, featuring four young soloists, all of whom have won top prizes in national and international competitions, with performances across Greece and abroad:

Their demanding and diverse program includes works by Bach, Schubert, Brahms, Chopin, Mozart, Liszt, Rachmaninoff, among others.

Dimitris Kreatsoulas (a solo)

Dimitris Kreatsoulas started piano lessons at the age of 9 with teacher Mitsi Akoyunoglou at the Aegeas Conservatory of Chios. There he obtained his Diploma with distinction. He continued his studies at the University of Macedonia under the guidance of Igor Petrin, graduating with Honours. Currently, he is pursuing postgraduate studies in piano performance at the Utrecht Conservatory with Klara Wurtz.

Alongside his studies, Dimitris Kreatsoulas has participated in masterclasses with important artists such as Anna Fedorova, Antonii Baryshevskyi, Marianna Shrinyan, Martino Tirimo,

Borys Fedorov, Alexia Mouza, Domna Evnuhidou and others. He has also given concerts at the Thessaloniki Concert Hall, the HKU Conservatory, the Davidsbundler Academy and the

Homeric Cultural Centre of Chios, among others.

Andreas Tsouvalas was born in October 2003 in Rhodes, Greece, where he began his musicalstudies at the age of 6. He graduated from the Hellenic Conservatory in Athens at the age of 19, earning his Piano Diploma with honours unanimously and the highest distinctions (1 st prize & gold medal), under Daphne Psimara.

During his final years of study, and since, he is in parallel under the guidance of the acknowledged soloist Dora Bakopoulou. Furthermore, he has attended seminars from well-known pianists, including Lilia Boyadjieva, Maria Eshpai, Massimiliano Ferrati, Agathe Leimoni, Marina Pliassova, Rafael Salinas, Borislava Taneva, Pilar Valero, and Alexander Vassilenko.

He has been awarded 3 rd prize (adult category) in the 6 th Panhellenic Music Competition 2021 of the UNESCO Club, and has given recitals in Athens, Rhodes, Symi (Symi Festival 2023), and Poros (12 th International Piano Academy & Festival), as we all in Belgium (Kasteel d’ Ursel, Primavera Pianistica “Aquiles delle Vigne” 2025). He has appeared as a soloist with the Athens State Orchestra, under the batons of Nikos Haliassas (17 th Rhodes International Festival) and Junping Qian (Athens Conservatoire).

Andreas currently lives in Athens, is a graduate of Evangeliki Model High School of Smyrna, and an undergraduate student at the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering, NTUA. He is studying advanced music theory under Nikos Kariotis, while also attending composition seminars. Lastly, he is interested in chamber music (Akhòs Ensemble), as well as choral music, participating in Peleiades Vocal Ensemble (under Stamatia Chorepsima) and the Hellenic Conservatory Choir (under Nikos Kariotis).

Alexandros Kintis (a solo)

Beethoven Sonata No.32 Op.111 (27’)

Alexandros Kindis was born in Athens in 2005 and began piano lessons at the age of 5, under the guidance of pianist and music educator Evi Marinaki. He is currently a student at the School of Applied Mathematics and Physical Sciences of the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA), combining science with his musical journey.

He has been awarded First Prize in numerous national competitions, including those of the Hellenic Broadcasting Corporation Orchestra (HON), the Panhellenic Music Competition for Young Artists in Xanthi, the Maria Chairoyiorgou-Sigara Competition, and the Panhellenic Piano Magic Competition. He holds a Piano Diploma with Distinction as well as the international DipLCM Performance Diploma, also with Distinction.

He has actively participated in masterclasses with distinguished artists such as Martino Tirimo, Raquel Boldorini, Lilia Boyadjieva, Igor Petrin, Karolos Zouganellis, Prodromos Symeonidis, Konstantinos Valianatos, among others.

He has performed in major concert venues including the Athens Concert Hall (Megaron), the Parnassos Literary Society, the Theocharakis Foundation, the Benaki Museum, and the Athens Conservatoire.

Alongside his musical career, he has shown a strong interest in the sciences, attending seminars and academic programs from prestigious universities such as Stanford University, University of Alberta, Rice University, as well as the National Technical University of Athens.

Born in 1997, he began piano lessons at an early age. He studied at the Hellenic Conservatory under Agathi Leimoni, with whom he completed his studies, earning his Piano Diploma with the highest distinction, First Prize, and a Gold Medal.

He completed the Supérieur cycle at the Schola Cantorum of Paris, obtaining the “Diplôme de Cycle Supérieur” and the “Diplôme de Virtuosité” with the highest distinction and Congratulations of the Jury, and is currently continuing his studies in the Perfectionnement cycle.

In parallel with his piano studies, he studied Harmony and Counterpoint with Dimitris Lionis and Giorgos Aravidis, earning a Diploma in Harmony with distinction.

He has participated in masterclasses with internationally renowned professors, including: Aquiles delle Vigne, Y. Admony, Y. Bogdanov, R. Boldorini, L. Boyadjieva, D. Chefanov, S. Chu, C. Constantini, P. Francese, D. Petralia, I. Petrin, M. Pliassova, P. Raskin, R. Salinas, S. Senkov, B. Taneva, and M. Wladkowski.

He has studied at the Department of Theory and History of Art at the Athens School of Fine Arts, as well as at the Department of Music Studies at the University of Athens.

He has been awarded in various competitions, with his most recent distinction being in the “Piano Magic” competition, where he received First Prize (out of competition) with the highest overall score.

He has worked as a repetiteur with singers from the Greek National Opera, as well as with pianists, performing works by Mozart, Beethoven, Chopin, Liszt, Grieg, Tchaikovsky, and Rachmaninoff.

He has performed in Greece and abroad, including at the Athens Concert Hall (Megaron), the Alternative Stage of the Greek National Opera, Castle d’Ursel in Antwerp, among others. His recent appearance at the 'César Franck' Hall in Paris received critical acclaim:

He has collaborated multiple times with the Athens Sinfonietta Orchestra in works by Bach and Mozart, and recently performed Rachmaninoff’s Piano Concerto No. 2 with the Razgrad Symphony Orchestra, under the baton of conductor Ivan Stoyanov.

He has recorded works by Chopin and Rachmaninoff for Greek National Radio.
